I'm A Sucker for Great Photography!

I downloaded as many reflective photographs I could Wednesday. I had reached a point where Faulkner was getting on my nerves, and reflective photography is just so plain awesome. So much skill and patience is necessary to get the perfect picture. Being at the right place at the right time helps too. What do you guys think?

If you want to see more awesome photography, here's a bunch of links!

  1. I love photography. It involves no reading. (:

  2. Ahem . . . I think you both need to redefine your conceptions of reading ;-) As we discussed in class yesterday, As I Lay Dying is a kind of composite photo. Therefore, if reading literature can be quite a bit like looking at photography, then can't looking at photography be quite a bit like reading literature?

  4. I definitely see a connection between reading a book and looking at a photo, especially with writers like Faulkner. It's all about point of view and interpretation.

  5. ahh i love these photos. they're really quite cool.

now that we have Postcards to throw in the mix of imagery and compositing different viewpoints, I think there are further connections we can make with the distortions of those reflections, and the misconceptions that the characters and readers alike experience.
