Also, just read Walden a couple weeks ago, what a classic.

Merril, I will definitly pick up Winesburg Ohio, it sounds great.

I also want to read the new Oprah biography by Kitty Kelly!MargaretKhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14104718810423289888noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5756292796580291035.post-23116960053991309302010-05-02T23:38:54.685-07:002010-05-02T23:38:54.685-07:00I've been meaning to read Tennessee Williams f...I've been meaning to read Tennessee Williams for years and I think I'll go pick up a copy at a secondhand bookstore sometime soon. That reminds me, there's this great secondhand bookstore at Dupont on P and 20th I think, where I picked up a copy of Kafka's works for only 3 bucks. It was quite rewarding! I'm also hoping to read a lot this summer so it'll be great to see what other people suggest.

One of my goals this summer is to actually finish Steinbeck's Travels With Charlie...I started it last summer and never made it past the first few chapters. I really liked Grapes of Wrath when I had to read it in class so I figured I would try something else of his. Another author I want to explore more is Kurt Vonnegut. I've been meaning to read Mother Night this whole school year but never found the time.

As for suggestions I cannot say this one enough: read Winesburg, Ohio by Sherwood Anderson! It honestly changed a lot of things for me, I wouldn't feel like the same person without it. Also if length is an issue Winesburg is really nice and easy to read because it's a compilation of short stories. Another suggestion would be About a Boy by Nick Hornby if you haven't read it already. I know there's a movie but as usual the book is much better. I read it last semester and couldn't put it down. Hornby just has a way with being honest.

That's all I can think of for now!Mer Kleinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07295396547036366830noreply@blogger.com
